“Seeing The Unseen” (Part IV)

For the past few weeks we have learned that if we choose only to “See the Seen,we will experience the following results: #1—Our faith will become stagnant; #2—Our growth will be stunted; and #3—Our victory will be stopped.

Now as we conclude this study, allow me to give to you the benefits of the reward of “Seeing The Unseen. If we will  make the choice to “See The Unseen”…

Reward #1—We Do Not Have To Give Up: In II Corinthians 4, Paul admits (verse 8) that he is experiencing some kind of difficulty in his life. He says, “We are hard pressed on every side...we are perplexed...we are persecuted...we are struck down.” But as you read the rest of the chapter, you never hear him say “I quit.” Instead, his response is “Therefore, we do not lose heart” (verse 16). Because Paul chooses to “See The Unseen,he realizes that he does not have to give up.

Reward #2—We Know The Problem Will Not Last Forever: When you think about the difficulties in your life, there are times when you feel that they will never go away. Look at Paul’s response… (verse 17) “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment…” Paul understands that when you know “If God be for me, who can be against me,” eventually the problem will pass. Three hundred sixty-five times the Bible says, “Fear not…” Over 600 times, the Bible says, “It came to pass.” When you take your eyes off the natural and put them on the spiritual (the unseen), you can then say as Paul did, “my light affliction is only for a moment.”

Reward #3—We Know That During It All, God Is At Work In Us: When you choose to “See The Unseen, you are resting with the fact that there is a “bigger picture” at work. You see, while you may not be able to choose what happens to you, you can choose what will happen in you! Listen to Paul; “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and external weight of Glory.” It was also Paul who wrote Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them who are called according to His purpose.”

Do you love God? If so, then make your choice like Paul and “Do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.” “See The Unseen” and you will discover that victory is in sight for you.
