“You’re A Winner”

Have you ever felt like a loser? Are there times when it seems you are all alone, that nobody cares; that there is no hope, or chance, of you ever accomplishing, or amounting to anything? Well, keep reading: this article is for you!
I John 4:4 says, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” God wants you to be a winner! If you are a Christian; if Jesus is your Lord and Master, then there are some things of which you need to remind yourself:
#1—I Am Somebody: The scripture says, “You are of God, little children…” Do you belong to God? If so, you are somebody! John 1:12 says, “But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God…” In I Corinthians 6 and 7 Paul writes, “Ye have been bought with a price…” You have been purchased by God. You are His very own child! Say it out loud— “I am somebody!”
#2—I Am Going Somewhere: Not only do you belong to God, but God also has a purpose, a plan, and a mission for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 reads, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Yes, God says that your life now has meaning. Romans 8:28 says, “… all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Say it out loud— “I am going somewhere!”
#3—I Am Going To Make It Somehow: I John 4:4 says, “...greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.” The Greek root word from which we get our word “greater” is “mega”. It means “bigger, larger, and greater.” No matter what comes our way, we can be confident that our God, who resides on the inside of us, is “mega-big,” “mega-large,” and “megagreat.” Paul said in Romans 8:31, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” Say it out loud— “I am somebody! I am going somewhere! I am going to make it somehow!” Why? Because “You’re A Winner!”
